Gateway Healthcare is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) providing a comprehensive range of mental health and substance use services regardless of your diagnosis, where you live, or your insurance status.
CCBHC’s are a Medicaid provider designed to deliver whole-person care by integrating behavioral and physical health care. We will work with you to assess your needs and treatment preferences and recognize that you have the right to choose the best provider to meet those preferences.
Confidentiality
Gateway Healthcare is required by federal law to safeguard your protected health information. This means that we will not release your records without written permission with the following exceptions described below:
- To healthcare professionals who are providing or will provide services to you.
- In medical emergencies, if your health or life is in jeopardy.
- For aid, insurance, or medical assistance. For example, we may release the information to have your treatment paid for by your insurance company.
- For certain legal purposes, such as court committal proceedings, when it may be necessary to receive permission from a judge to treat you, or if a judge orders us to turn over your records in court, or in instances of mandatory reporting of abuse and neglect.
- As professionals, our clinicians are legally required to comply with state reporting laws regarding abuse and neglect involving minors, those deemed disabled, and the elderly.
Responsibilities of All Clients
Gateway recognizes that when clients understand their responsibilities, they are able to be active partners in their treatment. As such, we ask that you:
- Provide information that assists their care, treatment and services.
- Ask questions to better understand their treatment and care.
- Follow instructions, policies, rules, and regulations to support a safe environment for all.
- Be considerate and respectful by using civil language when interacting with staff and peers.
- Meet financial commitments.
