Residential Programs

Gateway Healthcare provides residential rehabilitative services in Central Falls, Charlestown, Johnston, Pawtucket, Smithfield and other cities and towns across the state for adults with severe and persistent mental illness. 

Gateway offer three types of residential programs: group homes, enhanced group homes, and supervised apartments. All of our residential programs have 24-hour per day services.

• Registered nurses

• Occupational therapists in the enhanced group home setting

A Wide Range of Strength-based Therapeutic Services

Gateway’s adult residential rehabilitative services include:

• Treatment of co-occurring substance abuse disorder
• Psychiatric medication therapy and symptom management
• Referral and linkage to medical, eye and dental care
• Nutritional services
• Support with learning life skills (food shopping, budget/banking, using public transportation, structuring productive daily activity, and more)
• Vocational rehabilitation
• Family and social support development
• Group activities
• Education with regards to signs and symptoms, monitoring medication compliance, coaching and education in activities of daily living.
