Injury Free Coalition for Kids of Providence

The Injury Prevention Center (IPC) serves as the Providence, RI site of the Injury Free Coalition for Kids (IFCK), a coalition of more than 40 hospital-based, community-oriented groups nationwide dedicated to preventing childhood injuries through research, outreach and advocacy. 

Membership in this coalition provides IPC faculty and staff the unique opportunity to collaborate on injury prevention focused research and community outreach projects. Our IFCK coordinator participates in monthly calls focusing on improving community outreach efforts. The IPC consistently has representation at the IFCK annual national meeting where we have the opportunity to present our current research findings and to collaborate with injury prevention professionals from throughout the United States and Canada.
