Dan Abraham, Community Board Member

Dan Abraham and his family live in and love Fall River, and Saint Anne’s Hospital has long been part of their connection to the city. For generations, the hospital’s skilled specialists, sisters, and staff have played an essential role in caring for the community that Abraham and his family call home.

The Importance of Compassion

“The compassion of the sisters and how it carries all the way through to the different departments and providers” is the most important part of the hospital’s legacy, according to Dan Abraham.

“My family is grateful for the compassionate care we have received from Saint Anne’s Hospital,” said Abraham.

One memory, in particular, remains vivid. When Abraham's mother was nearing the end of her life and receiving care at the hospital, her nurse arranged for a cellist to play in her hospital room, creating a moment of peace and comfort for her and the entire family.

“Throughout her final days, the care and support of the nurses, staff, and the Sisters were there for her and our family,” remembered Abraham.

In gratitude, Abraham gives back to the hospital that has meant so much to his family by serving on the Saint Anne’s Hospital Community Board. He deeply appreciates Saint Anne’s rich history and its unwavering commitment to Fall River, especially as the city has weathered economic hardship and change. That steadfast dedication has left a lasting impression on him.

“The compassion of the sisters and how it carries all the way through to the different departments and providers” is the most important part of the hospital’s legacy, according to Abraham.
