The Center for Behavioral and Preventive Medicine is offering the Incredible Years–Baby workshop free to caregivers of infants. Spaces are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Summary and Objectives

This evidence-based workshop helps families build secure attachments, support healthy development, and grow confidence in the first months of life.

Join us for an interactive, discussion-based workshop designed to foster learning, reflection, and real-world application. Unlike a webinar, this session encourages active participation and meaningful dialogue.

Facilitated by licensed clinical psychologists and advanced psychology fellows, the workshop blends evidence-based approaches with practical tools and strategies that you can immediately apply in your daily life to:

  • Help your baby feel loved, safe, and secure
  • Understand and respond to your baby’s cues and needs
  • Encourage physical, language, and emotional development
  • Build routines and practices that support healthy family functioning

Enrollment Eligibility: Parents and caregivers of babies ages 0 to 4 months 

Number of Sessions: 10 weekly sessions, 2 hours each

Materials: Incredible Babies: A Guide and Journal of Your Baby’s First Year will be mailed to attendees

Commitment: Attendance at all sessions is required

  1. Getting to Know Your Baby – Learning to understand your infant’s cues and needs
  2. Babies as Intelligent Learners – Encouraging early learning
  3. Physical, Tactile, and Visual Stimulation – Activities to support growth
  4. Reading Your Baby’s Mind – Recognizing cues and emotional states
  5. Gaining Support – Building your parenting network
  6. Babies’ Emerging Sense of Self – Supporting independence and self-awareness
