A New Option for Bladder Control

Meredith Wasserman, MD, is the first in New England to implant the FDA-approved Altaviva device—a small, innovative treatment for bladder control symptoms. Placed near the ankle above the tibial nerve, this minimally invasive procedure doesn’t require sedation or radiation. The device is designed to last up to 15 years and typically only needs to be recharged once or twice a year for about 30 minutes.

Urology Services

The division of urology offers reconstructive care to manage difficult urologic conditions. Severe urethral strictures, genital skin loss, and ureteral injury requiring ureteral replacement surgery are all afforded to patients in the care of our experienced, fellowship-trained staff.
