Building a Workforce for the Future

Brown University Health’s Workforce Development has been instrumental in providing talent to the healthcare system over the past two decades. The department began with our Summer Youth Employment Program and rapidly expanded to offer a variety of adult-learning opportunities for high-demand roles at both the entry and collegiate level.

Participants enroll in programs at no cost and are supported with case management by a dedicated program coordinator. Upon program completion, successful graduates are supported in employment placement across the Brown Health system and receive continued support from the Workforce Development team.

This model has contributed to the success of the department and helped more than 1,000 individuals secure employment in Rhode Island’s largest healthcare system.
