Hear from a Patient Support Specialist Program Graduate

"Stepping into the patient support specialist (PSS) program at Brown University Health marked a turning point in how I see myself in healthcare," says Tolani. "I came in eager to learn and become more confident, compassionate, and prepared than I ever imagined. From the very first workshop to my hands-on role-play sessions, I felt both challenged and supported in equal measures. The guidance I received from my program and instructors was more than professional; it was personal, encouraging, and deeply impactful. I’m proud to have grown not just as an aspiring healthcare professional, but as someone better equipped to lead with compassion. I’m leaving this program grateful, inspired, and ready to make a difference."
